Our Real Estate and Tourism team advises domestic and international investors throughout every stage of the investment lifecycle.

  • Structuring real estate investments, including special purpose vehicles (SPVs), real estate investment funds and corporate collective investment undertakings (SICs);
  • Preparing and negotiating preliminary transaction documentation, including NBOs, MOUs, teasers and similar documents;

  • Forward purchase and sale and leaseback transactions;

Our Real Estate team has extensive experience advising domestic and international clients on transactions involving development land acquisitions, building refurbishments, office parks, shopping centers, logistics parks, purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA), senior living developments, serviced apartments, co-living projects, hotels and other tourism developments.

We provide specialist legal advice on planning and spatial planning law, assisting public and private clients in the structuring, approval and execution of real estate developments.

Our practice encompasses the strategic assessment and legal structuring of urbanistic operations, working in close coordination with the other departments to provide integrated legal solutions.

Our practice provides integrated tax advice on corporate transactions and the structuring of real estate investments, including the tax treatment of corporate investment funds, such as Corporate Collective Investment Undertakings (SICs), and other collective investment structures. Working closely with our Corporate and Real Estate teams, we deliver commercially focused with due regard to applicable tax rules
tailored to each client’s business objectives.

We also represent clients in tax audits and administrative tax proceedings, as well as in tax litigation before the competent authorities and courts.

Our Immigration team provides specialist legal advice on relocation to Portugal, assisting individuals and families throughout every stage of the immigration process.

Our practice encompasses the legal and strategic structuring of immigration matters through an integrated approach tailored to each client’s personal, professional and investment objectives.
